Sunday Snippets - A Catholic Carnival (9 March 2014)

Back to Sunday Snippets -  A Catholic Carnival.  Thanks again to RAnn at This That and the Other Thing [here] for hosting.  Good to see you all again.  It’s been unseasonably cold Downeast; even though we tapped the maples last weekend, we still don’t have any sap.  We’re hitting the 40’s today, so the sap is finally flowing!  At least something else was flowing during the week, to wit:

Monday: “Bake me a cake as fast as you can . . ." [link]. The whole gay wedding fiasco.  The thing is, it’s not about cake.
.

Tuesday: “Don Juan Gets Whats Coming To Him” [link].  The commandatore scene from Mozart’s Don Giovanni, wherein a pack of ghoulies hauls Don Juamn off to Hell – set to a chillingly magnificent musical score.  How’s that for Fat Tuesday!

Also: “Romeike Update – Safe For Now"[link].  German Christian homeschooling family will not be forcibly returned to Germany to face possible seizure of their children by the government there.

Wednesday: “’Hidden Law’, Society, and The Church" [link].   Sometimes the best laws are the laws nobody seems to know are there.

Thursday: “The Liturgy of the Hours And You”[link].  How busy Laypeople can integrate the Liturgy of the Hours into their lives; third in a series.

Friday: “Here we go again . . ."[link].   The title is an expression of my weariness with the never ending war on Christian sexual morality.  As is the case in Monday’s post, I warn about falling in to the trap of taking these issues at face value, because that way there be dragons . . .
