Chalk One Up For The Good Guys . . .

Kudos to Angus T. Jones, the young man who gave up a starring role on the sleazy sitcom Two and a Half Men (story here) because the show’s content was in conflict with his Christian faith.  His future acting possibilities, if he wants to continue in that line, will probably be limited to playing Kirk Cameron’s sidekick . . .  not that there’s anything wrong with that, but he’ll most likely never come close to the fame and wealth he enjoyed on his original show.
Jones’ one regret that is that he felt that some of the things he said as he extricated himself from Two and a Half Men were personally hurtful to the show’s creator; not that he was wrong, I don’t think, but that he didn’t speak the truth with love (see Eph. 4:15).
Again, hats off to Angus T. Jones.  Let us all pray that we , too, are able to resist such great material temptations and choose Christ in our own time of testing.
